What data we collect

Only the data you enter in the booking and event request forms: name, phone, email if you provide it, day, time, number of people, preferences, any allergies or intolerances and your message.

Why we use it

To reply to your request, manage your booking or event and get ready for your visit. Information on allergies and intolerances is used only to protect your health in the dining room and kitchen.

Where the data goes

When you submit a form, a copy is stored by Netlify, Inc., which hosts the site, and WhatsApp opens with the message already written: the message is only sent if you press Send, after which WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies. Your data is never used for marketing or passed on to third parties.

For tables of 8 or more, the guarantee card is stored by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., which handles payments: card details never pass through our site and we never see them. The card is charged only in case of a no-show, as stated in the booking policy.

Bookings and event requests are also copied into a Google Sheets spreadsheet of the venue (Google Ireland Ltd.), visible only to Botanico staff, to organise tables and events. Rows are deleted periodically after the booking date.

How long we keep it

For as long as needed to manage the booking or event and, in any case, no longer than 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to the email address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).
